Membership ACP: FWF growing in Belgium
From 1 May 2009, Belgian ACP has become member of Fair Wear Foundation. ACP is a screen-printing workshop which stencils design on clothing for among others events, clubs and companies.
From the outset, sustainability was important to ACP. The ink they use is water based and contains no heavy metals. Already, many of the clothes ACP uses are purchased from, for example, FWF affiliate Continental Clothing.
The growing demand for ‘fair’ clothing and the lack of independent verification at suppliers made FWF membership a logical next step for ACP. Their concrete goal for their first year of membership: Purchasing up to 40 percent of their production from other FWF members.
Thus, Fair Wear Foundation keeps growing internationally, with currently more than 45 members from seven European countries.
